ROLFING - STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION

if you can imagine how it feels to live in a fluid, light, balanced body, free of pain, stiffness and chronic stress, at ease with itself and the earth's gravitational field; then you will understand the goals of Rolfing Structural integration.

Athletes, dancers, professionals and those riddled with chronic pain look to Rolfing for improved performance and the relief of pain from their daily lives.

Rolfing is a technique for reordering the body to bring its major segments - head - shoulders - thorax - pelvis - legs - towards vertical alignment. It's often called 'Structural Integration"

Rolfing works on this web-like complex of connective tissue (fascia) to release, realign and balance the whole body, thus resolving discomfort, reducing compensations and alleviating pain.

An initial series of Rolfing usually consists of 10 sessions each lasting 60-90 minutes and generally spaced 1-2 weeks apart. Under Tom's skillful eye and touch, each session builds on the results of the previous ones to bring visible changes to the body's construction.

As rolfing progressively relieves structural restriction, your body becomes aligned and you move with ease again.
